Michelle Hawn, LPC-S
The Founder & CEO of Labyrinth Counseling, Michelle is a Therapist, LPC Supervisor, and Workshop Facilitator. She works with adults and couples, and especially enjoys helping her clients explore anger, anxiety, trauma (including spiritual trauma), grief, life transitions, and all manner of relationship issues.
After 17 years in Hospitality Management, she changed careers, earning a master’s degree in counseling at the Seminary of the Southwest in 2006. Michelle has studied with The Couples Institute (Developmental Model), is a Gottman Couples Therapist (Level 2); and is currently studying Interpersonal Neurobiology, Coherence Therapy and Non-Violent Communication.
Michelle’s primary approach, however, is through the lens of Internal Family Systems. She has received certification as an Internal Family Systems Therapist (Level 2), with a specialty in Couples Work (Intimacy From the Inside Out) and Trauma. A Program Assistant for The IFS Institute’s Level 1 Trainings, Michelle developed her IFS 101 Workshops and Study Groups to serve as an in-depth introduction to the model for those curious about learning more and to prepare to get the most out of their IFS Institute Level 1 training.
When not practicing, learning, or teaching, Michelle can be found catching as much live music as possible, playing with her perpetually spoiled pup, Barkley, or puttering in her garden. For more information on Michelle and her offerings, go to www.labyrinthcounseling.org.
