Membership

How do I access my profile and make changes to my account information?

First, click "Log in" at the top of the page. Once you're logged in, you should see "{Your Name}", "Change password" and "Log out" at the top of each page. Click on your name to be redirected to your membership profile. From there, you can edit your information and find previous membership and event registration payments. You can also edit your privacy settings. If you're in our public directory, any information that is set to "Anybody" will be posted on your public directory profile. If you wish to be included in our public directories, submit your information for approval on the directory pages (see question below for instructions).

How do I request to be included in the public directories on the Austin AMFT website?

You must be a member to be included in our directories. You can find the Therapist Directory page here and the Supervision Directory page here. Have you submitted your info but aren't seeing yourself in the directory? Email info@austinamft.org to let us know. If you do see your information in the directory, but want to change what information is displayed on your public profile, log in to your account, navigate to your membership profile, and click on "Privacy."

How do I change the information displayed on the public directories on the Austin AMFT website?

You must be a member to be included in our directories. To edit your information, log in to your membership account. You can then click on your name in the top right hand corner of the page where you will be directed to your profile. From there, click 'Edit profile' to edit the information to be included in the online directory. Be sure to click the 'Save' button at the bottom of the page, and your directory listing will automatically be updated.

Will I be notified if my membership is expiring?

You'll receive three emails regarding membership expiration. One 14 days before your expiration date, another 7 days before your membership expires, and a final email on the day of your membership expiration.

How do I renew my membership?

First, click "Log in" at the top of the page. Once you're logged in, you should see "{Your Name}", "Change password" and "Log out" at the top of each page. Click on your name to be redirected to your membership profile. Click on the renewal button. Here you will be able to update your contact information and member directory information. If you have a discount code, enter it at the bottom of this page to receive your discount. Click “Update and next.” Once you review and confirm your information and pay the membership fee, your membership renewal is complete!

How do I sign up for Austin AMFT's listserv/Google email group?

If you're a current member and have not received an invite to our exclusive Members-Only email group, please send an email to austinamftboard@gmail.com requesting an invitation to join the Austin AMFT Member Connection email group. This group provides a line of engagement with other members in the Austin AMFT community, as well as a way to share knowledge and resources such as job announcements, office space, clinical and licensure questions, requests for resources and referrals, trainings, practice marketing and announcements, and more!  

Events & CEU's

How many CEUs are offered for events?

You will earn 1 CEU hour for attending our regular monthly events (January-June & September-November). You will earn 3 CEUs for attending our annual ethics event in August. Each event registration page will list the amount of CEU hours to be earned for that particular event.

I'm a member trying to sign up for an event, and I'm unable to select membership pricing. How do I sign up for an event as a member?

In order to receive membership pricing for our monthly events, you must be a paid member through our website. If you're not already a member, click here to join. If you are a member, you must be logged in to your account to be able to select the membership pricing options for our events. If you are a member and you sign up for an event at a non-member rate you will not be issued a refund. 

I'm a student attending an in-person event for the first time and wish to receive my free lunch. How can I register for an event?

For those events where lunch will be served, if you're a student registering for an in-person event for the first time, lunch is on us! Just be sure to register for the event accordingly so we know you're coming! Each time you come to an event and bring a student guest, you and your guest will each receive a free lunch!

Are online presentations recorded and accessible afterward?

Yes! If you're a current member, you will have access to past presentation recordings. You can find these under "For Therapists" > "Members Only - Speaker Presentations" | www.austinamft.org/speaker-presentations. You must be logged in to access. These recordings will not be accessible to non-members. If you're a non-member wishing to gain access to past recordings, you may do so by becoming a member!

I can't find the Zoom link or the CEU Evaluation Form for a virtual event I registered for. How can I access these?

If you registered for an event through our website, you will have received a confirmation email for your event registration. If you don't see either of these links or can't find the email, just return back to our Meetings & Events page and find the registration page for your specific event. Scroll down to find the "Zoom Event Link" and the "CEU Evaluation Form" links.

How do I receive my CEU certificate?

Each CEU event registration page will include a link to an online CEU evaluation form. This evaluation needs to be completed to receive CEU credit for all in-person and synchronous virtual events. Should you be a member and wish to receive credit for watching a recording of one of our free 1-hour CEU events, you will still need to access and complete the evaluation form from the registration page. Note that CEU cerificates are manually generated by our Secretary and may take up to 5-7 business days to receive. If you have not received your certificate after this time period, please reach out at austinamftboard@gmail.com to inquire.

Will a CEU count for my specific licensure (LMFT, LPC, LCSW, Psychologist)?

All CEU events are approved for LMFTs, LPCs, and LCSWs. All live CEU events are approved for psychologists. Pyschologists may not receive credit for watching CEU recordings due to board licensure requirements pertaining to test-taking after a recorded event.

I would like to submit an advertisement to Austin AMFT's newsletter and/or website. Where can I submit information?

Advertising is no longer available through the Austin AMFT organization's newsletter or website, paid or otherwise.
