      PRESENTATION DESCRIPTION

      Is shame keeping your clients stuck in patterns of self-loathing, harshness, and criticism? Shame makes it difficult for clients to connect with themselves and receive empathy from others. In this presentation, you will learn how to recognize when shame is inhibiting the counseling process and hindering connection between the client and their therapist. You will learn how to model and implement self-compassion in session and empower clients to approach themselves with more kindness and curiosity.

      BIOGRAPHY

      Anna is the owner of Healing House in Dallas and Austin and a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. Anna is EMDR certified, a yoga teacher and certified in Trauma Conscious Yoga Method. 

      Nadia is a Licensed Professional Counselor at Healing House in Austin, TX.   


      This presentation is designed to be useful for all levels of training and experience.
