Membership Scholarships

Austin AMFT is pleased to offer scholarship opportunities! Our membership scholarships are available to Austin area clinicians and students who are in need of financial assistance to access Austin AMFT membership.

We offer scholarships to Austin area clinicians and students who are in need of financial assistance to access training in couples and family therapy. These are available at various times.

1. Offer financial assistance to those who wish to enhance their understanding of the practice of couples and family therapy

2. Offer financial assistance to those who wish to become a member of Austin AMFT

3. Enable therapists to access educational training to further the practice of Marriage and Family Therapy in the Austin community

4. Promote clinical systemic thinking and distinguish the field of Marriage & Family Therapy as unique and beneficial to the greater Austin community

5. Foster an environment that appreciates and values an increasingly diverse therapist community

Scholarship Directions

1. Complete application

• Associate Membership Scholarship Application
• Student Membership Scholarship Application

2. Attach a copy of your current CV or resume to the application
3. Include a one-to-two-page personal statement expressing your reason for applying and applicable personal and professional experience including your social location. An individual’s social location is defined as the combination of factors including gender, race, social class, age, ability, religion, sexual orientation, and geographic location.
