About
Tracy Tanner, LPC-S, LMFT-S is a passionate, creative therapist who specializes in work with the gifted (GT) population. Tracy provides telehealth sessions and primarily works with parents, young adults, and adults. She enjoys helping her clients learn more about themselves and find everyday happiness, peace and acceptance in their lives. Tracy's education in psychology and counseling began at UT Austin and continued at St. Edwards University where she graduated with honors. Upon being hired at Austin Child Guidance Center, where she had completed her year long practicum, Tracy honed her skills in trauma and attachment work, family systems and parenting. In 2012, Tracy began consulting and offering workshops for Magellan International School. Inspired by the work she was doing with some of their students, they hired her to write their Social and Emotional Learning curriculum. Magellan uses this curriculum to teach their students, staff and parents invaluable skills in social and emotional intelligence. In additional to seeing clients, Tracy is the co-founder of GT Therapy Group, a local group practice that focuses on providing therapy services to individuals and families across the lifespan. Tracy integrates play, humor and creativity into her approach with clients. Tracy is also a member of Austin InConnection.
