PRESENTATION DESCRIPTION

Are you asking your clients about sex and intimacy in their lives? In this presentation on sex therapy strategies and approaches for therapists, you will gain a foundational understanding of addressing some of your client's biggest sex issues like desire discrepancy.  Through case presentation and didactic learning, we will take a deep dive into experiential skills to increase your confidence in sex therapy.

KEY LEARNING POINTS

• Participants will be able to name three common sex and intimacy issues that come up in therapy.

• Participants will identify when to refer out, seek consultation, get personal therapeutic support, or use their best clinical skills when working with a client in therapy with sex and intimacy issues.

• Participants will gain 1-3 professional sex therapy skills that they can apply in their real-world work.

BIOGRAPHY

Angela Jensen-Ramirez, LCSW is an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist and an ICEEFT Certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist & Supervisor Candidate. Angela has a private practice in Austin, Texas and is also dually licensed in California.
