    TOPIC

Talking About Race in the Therapy Room Panel

Need help with how to address the issue of race with your clients in the therapy room? Our panel features two prominent therapists of color to help support and guide us in talking about this important topic.

    PANEL MEMBERS

Robin Fay Johnson, Owner & Transformational Leadership Consultant with Growing Edge, LLC. She is also a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with 14 years experience in the military taking care of Soldiers. In addition to working with the military community she also has experience working in the clinical field in counseling and crisis intervention. Her specialty in her clinical work includes trauma, with an emphasis in Racialized Trauma Healing work.

Ulysses “Lee” Moore founded the Hope Project in 2016. He believes that life is a journey and for every season of life, there are different stops to make. He has had some great seasons and some really tough ones, like most people. But he has been lucky enough to meet people along the way and found inspiration in places he wouldn’t have imagined. Through those experiences, he has grown and maintained a greater capacity for hope.

    PANEL FORMAT

Please come dialogue with us and bring questions that you would like our panel to address concerning race with our work with all of our clients. As you consider questions, please think about struggles you’ve faced or things you wished you would have known.

This presentation is designed to be useful for all levels of training and experience.
